Megan Allen, OD, FAAO

Dr. Allen is director of Pediatric and Binocular Vision Services at North Suburban Vision Consultants and is also an Assistant Professor of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometryand the Illinois Eye Institute. Dr Allen is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and has been an active investigator for the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigative Group (PEDIG) since 2008.

Dr Allen graduated from Indiana University undergraduate with a degree in Biology and a concentration in Spanish language. She attended Illinois College of Optometry and graduated cum laude in 2007. She then completed a pediatric residency at the Illinois Eye Institute and worked with the University of Chicago, Infant and Child Welfare Center, and the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired.

Specializing in pediatrics and binocular vision she manages amblyopia, strabismus, and other soft binocular vision disorders such as convergence insufficiency, ocular motor dysfunction and accommodative

Dr Allen specializes in pediatric eye care, however also enjoys primary care optometry, contact lens management, and dry eye diagnosis and management. Dr. Allen currently lives in Chicago with her husband and three young girls.
